OneNote 2007 Xml Viewer – Check it out

Thank you to The Unknown OneNote Guy's Blog, where you can find the OneNote 2007 XML Viewer, we have something internally called OMSpy which I need to get approved by people here, get a EULA and other work before I can release it. I guess I will need to speed up on this process, in the meantime please check out the link: https://unknown-onenote.blogspot.com/2006/09/onenote-2007-xml-viewer.html

Thanks for the post about the viewer. Glad I am keeping you on your toes.  Before I dump any other binaries onto the community, is there anything you want to fess up to? I am sure if you post something here your readers will keep it quiet in good faith:)

Well there are a few apps that I have been working on:
o Send to OneNote from Word 2007
o Sort Pages in a Section
o Sort Sections in a Notebook
o Send to OneNote from the Windows Shell

And from other people on the team:
     o Word Count program
     o Publish to SharePoint forms
o Publish a Notebook to SharePoint (cool app!)
o OMSpy the app for the XML code

There are a bunch of ideas we have and I think some of these will come out during the B2TR timeframe and more will come out later during RTM.  Please keep me on my toes!

Nice and thanks for the notice. I don't think we will clash.  Interesting that most are "internal" integration points - meaning most most are adding functionality to that enhances the usablity of OneNote itself and  not one that really feads or reads another system.... Now the SP integration is cool- Except for the fact that it appears you will not be able to get alerts for shared Notebooks using WSS or Moss alerts....Interesting.

No you can do this just fine!  Whenever someone updates something in a notebook it will change the file which will send an alert and you can see when people are working on a Shared Notebook.  This works just as expected.  Please try it and let us know if you have problems.

The app I mentioned before for publish to a SharePoint site was to publish as a webpage instead of as OneNote files.
