Meet the OneNote MVPs
Last week Microsoft hosted the MVP Global Summit this is a conference where all of the Microsoft MVPs come to Redmond. During their week long summit/conference the MVPs get to learn about MS tech, find out what cool new things are going on and most importantly they get to meet with the actual product teams! This is what I like the most, it gives me a chance to get to know the people I know from the OneNote newsgroups. The OneNote MVPs include:
- Ben Schorr
- Kathy Jacobs
- Erik Sojka
- Kyoungsoo Jeon
- Patrick Schmid
These are the fine folks for answer most of your questions on the newsgroups. During their stay we were able to meet with them and talk about: the OneNote storage & sync protocol, the API and most importantly have an open dialog about planning OneNote 14 and other questions they have. It is always so exciting to see people outside of Microsoft sharing the same passion that we share on the team. I remember hearing Erik saying things that we say internally and it was great to see such passion. On a personal note I always liked the MVPs and if I didn't work for MS I could see myself helping people on the newsgroups.
I wanted to share some photos from our meetings with them:
From left to right: Kathy Jacobs, Kyoungsoo Jeon, Ben Schorr, Patrick Schmid, Daniel Escapa, Gary Neitzke (ON Tester), Erik Sojka
This was the room we had them trapped in for a few hours last week, hopefully they had a good time there! Later that night at a dinner we got some other photos:
Thanks again for all of the OneNote MVPs, we appreciate your love of OneNote and we thank you for your continued dedication on helping the community. Hats off to you all.
