The British Computer Society Belfast Branch

I was talking to around 50 members of the BCS last night in Belfast.  My talk was entitled "New security products from Microsoft, with a focus on Windows Vista".  We'd scheduled an hour, but I took nearly two (it's very easy to get side-tracked).

I briefly covered off all of our "Forefront" products (more info here) and then spent the next hour and a half covering off Windows Vista.  The intention was to focus solely on the Security features (which I did try to do), but my audience had me going off at all sorts of tangents.

Here are the links to some of those tangents:

Microsoft Operations Framework (“Microsoft-ised” ITIL)

Windows Server System Reference Architecture

Security for the IT Pro

Security Guidance

Windows XP Security Guide

Windows Server 2003 Security Guide

Windows Vista
