MTV Urge, Microsoft Expression Web Designer and LINQ May 2006
CNET has a review of MTV Urge. Urge is the new on-the-go music subscription service that integrates with WMP 11. Looks great. Both Windows XP and Windows Vista users can check out the 14-day free trial. Windows XP users just need to install Windows Media Player 11. And because a picture is worth a thousend words: the CNET slide show.
Today Microsoft also released the third part of the Expression products: Microsoft Expression Web Designer. After the Graphic and Interactive Designer the Web Designer has been made available for download. The help file is also available for download. The Expression family of tools used in conjunction with Visual Studio and the Windows Presentation Foundation are a critical part of Microsoft’s application platform to enable developers and designers to create richer user experience application for Windows and the Web.
When looking at both MTV Urge and the Microsoft Expression Web Designer you see what Microsoft cares a lot about these days: a great experience for all their users and applications.
And while you're over at the Microsoft Download Center you might also want to pick up the May 2006 LINQ Preview..
LINQ is a codename for a set of extensions to the .NET Framework that encompass language-integrated data query, set, and transform operations. It includes extensions to the C# and Visual Basic languages with native language syntax for queries and provides class libraries to take advantage of these capabilities.
