MSDN Evening on C++ "Orcas", VISUG Session on IIS7 and more ...

Tonight Ronald Laeremans will be hosting the MSDN Evening on "Visual C++ “Orcas”. We had 120+ registrations at the end of last week so this evening event will be very well attended.

And tomorrow the Visual Studio User Group (VISUG) is organizing a session "Introduction to IIS 7". Speaker is Bart De Smet.

Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 is the next generation web application server from Microsoft that ships with Vista and Windows Server Codename “Longhorn”. In this session, we’ll take a closer look at IIS7 from a developer’s point of view. You’ll learn how to extend the web server using managed code modules, how the new distributed and delegated XML-based configuration system works and how you can plug in to the brand new IIS Manager to make your IT Pro colleagues happy. This is your chance to get a jumpstart with IIS7, register now!

Bart did an excellent job delivering a similar session at our Developer & IT Pro Days 2007 in Ghent a while ago. So if you want to learn more about IIS 7, you should register via the VISUG web site. Location details and timings can be found on the same site.

Also tomorrow my IT Pro colleagues are organizing their System Center and Forefront Launch in Kinepolis. More information on this full-day event can be found here or on Arlindo's blog.
