Jesper isn’t coming, but...
Jesper has blogged that he won't be coming to Tech Ed in New Zealand, Australia or Japan this year.
This is sad news that will disappoint many of you who were hoping to hear Jesper speak in New Zealand one last time. Jesper is always a crowd favourite at Tech Ed.
However, there is good coverage to fill this new gap.
Firstly Steve Riley will pick up an extra session (Steve is always another favourite), and in addition we have a new speaker to introduce you to.
Kai Axford (see this for some of his content) is a long time Microsoft security speaker and has just transferred into the same team as Steve and Jesper (and also joins Jeff Jones).
While it is disappointing that Jesper wont be here for a final tour, we hope you enjoy Kai (and Steve) remember, you can always fill in your feedback form and tell us what you think! We certainly look forward to your feedback!
Kleefy has the original story here.

Bummer! However, Steve Riley is fantastic value in his own right, and anyone from his team will surely know the entertainment threshold required to also be met :) - Anonymous

Steve is fantastic, and I always look for his name on the topic list. His duo presentations with Jesper are consistently the best of show.
Darryl, don't you think this is a bit backward of Microsoft not to let Jesper speak for this final time? He only ever gives MS good press - people come away changing their idea of Microsoft's approach towards security...positively. - Anonymous

James, I suggest you take a look at Nigels blog post on the issue (at http://blogs.msdn.com/nigel/archive/2006/08/14/698197.aspx) to get a better idea of why the descision was made. I agree that Jesper is good for Microsoft, hopefully Nigels explanation will help you agree that this is not a bad thing.
