VB for Windows Phone 7 Development is RTW

AppHubWhen when the Windows Phone 7 (WP7) SDK first shipped, the only .NET language you could write your applications in was C#, regardless of using Visual Studio 2010 Express or above.

Earlier this week, we released to web (RTW) VB for Windows Phone Dev Tools. Now you can choose between both languages to write your WP7 app. So all you VBers who wanted to write a WP7 app now can.

In order to use this RTW, you must have Visual Studio 2010 Professional or higher and the Windows Phone Developer Tools RTM already installed.

Speaking of the Windows Phone Developer Tools RTM, I recently upgrade on of my machines that only had the Windows Phone Developer Tools on it to VS 2010 Ultimate. In order for VS 2010 to see the Windows Phone Developer Tools in the Project Aggregator, you’ll need to “reinstall” the WP Dev Tools. I know it sounds like a no-brainer, but I thought I’d mention it anyway.
