Hello blogworld!

This is the customary hello world message. I am a Architect Evangelist with Microsoft and my mission (at least for now) is to make the world a better place by making every application be more manageable, so we can enjoy our weekends instead of being stuck in the data center trying to figure out what is wrong with our latest application.

What does that mean?

Well maybe you have heard of DSI (Dynamic Systems Initiative)?
Maybe you have not (you should at https://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/dsi/default.mspx).

The point of all this is to embed the knowledge usually found in someone's head, be it the IT Administrator, the Architect or the developer, into software models and enable scenarios where the software can (assist) deploy, operate and troubleshoot itself based upon this captured knowledge.

Sound far fetched?

Not really. Over the next few weeks/months/years, I'll be trying to figure all this and more out. Why not come along for the ride?
