Visual Studio 2005 Release Candidate Available for Download
Visual Studio 2005 Release Candidate is now available for download from the MSDN subscriber download site. The build is compatible with the September CTP of SQL Server. Both of these builds will be handed out to PDC attendees in the keynote session later today.
You will note there is no number associated with this release (e.g. RC1, RC2). That's because this will be the final public release before RTM. Enjoy.

Yes, the MSDN Subscriber Downloads site has changed, and its not that easy to see where the downloads section is. The Subscriber download site is http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions. There is information about how the new look site works and how to get at your downloads here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/letter/ - Anonymous

Sometimes I think I'm clever, sometimes I think I'm stupid, trying to find the url to download VS2005RC from on MSDN subscriber Downloads was one of those times that I felt stupid. Does anyone know where on MSDN subscriber downloads it is? A simple url perhaps? - Anonymous
