BizTalk Hosts fail when Domain Controller(s) are rebooted
You would notice that your BizTalk hosts fail/crash unexpectedly. You would get below error message in your event log. You would have to restart your BizTalk hosts manually after this.
Source: BizTalk Server
Date: 23/07/2013 17:29:13
Event ID: 6913
Task Category: BizTalk Server
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: ABC.Microsoft.com
Description: An attempt to connect to "BizTalkMgmtDb" SQL Server database on server "ABC" failed.
Error: "Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication."
This is a known behavior and this might happen whenever you restart you Domain Controller(s).
This happens because whenever you restart your domain controllers, application (BizTalk) cannot authenticate users until the Domain Controller(s) is not responding on the network.
The Symptoms, Cause and Resolution/Work Around are explained in the below KB article.
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2683606/de
The link talks about stopping the Netlogon service on Domain Controller(s) before you Shut down or Restart your Domain Controller(s). It also talks about how to automate this so that you do not have to do it manually each time you do a reboot/shut down.
