New URL tracking parameters for ad extensions & locations
Using tracking parameters in your URLs is a great way to gain additional insight about the source of an ad click. This valuable data can help you improve the performance of your campaigns and thus reach more customers.
To make tracking even better, we are introducing three new parameters that will help you learn about the ad extension that was clicked and the geographical location of the click.
Parameter | What it returns |
{feeditemid} | The ID of the ad extension that was clicked. |
{loc_physical_ms} | The geographical location code of the physical location of the click. For more information, take a look at this MSDN article on geographical location codes. |
{loc_interest_ms} | The geographical location code of the location of interest that triggered the ad. For more information, take a look at this MSDN article on geographic location codes. |
Moreover, we made some additions to the {TargetId} parameter . Now, by using this parameter, you can get insights about custom audience lists and in-market audience lists ("aud"), as well as targeted location IDs ("loc").
Take advantage of these new parameters as soon as possible and review our help page to learn more about what tracking or URL parameters you can use. Let us know your thoughts: As always, we encourage you to directly send us feedback: bingads-feedback@microsoft.com.
