MDW Reports–New Source Code ZIP File Available

In my MDW Reports series, I attached V1 of the RDL files in my post - May the source be with you! MDW Report Series Part 6–The Final Edition. Since that post, Rachna Agarwal from MSIT in India updated the RDL files that are ready to go in a single ZIP.

The reports assume that they will ne uploaded to the Report Manager’s root folder and use a shared data source named MDW. The reports also integrate with the new Query Hash Statistics reports.

You can download them from my SQLBlog.com download site.

Hi, thank you for your articles about MDW. I'm especially interested in creating MDW reports for report server. I tried your examples from zip file. I have to notice that in Server_Activity.rdl timeline and buttons underneath it don't work. In other reports they are ok. I tried to find solution but it won't go. :)

I have fixed timeline issue for Server_Activity.rdl and also solved it for couple of other .rdl files where timeline is not working but buttons underneath it are working. Now Management Data Warehouse reports works like a charm...!!!Thanks a lot Bill.

I have installed your MDW reports and they work really great. I have only one problem: The calendar button below the timeline isn't working. When I click on it I receive a message "The webpage cannot be displayed".When I open it in Report Builder, I see that it goes to the URL:="dca:ReportShowTimeSpanAction?MinDateTime=" +        FormatDateTime(Min(Fields!snapshot_time.Value, "SnapshotTime")) +        "&MaxDateTime=" +        FormatDateTime(Max(Fields!snapshot_time.Value, "SnapshotTime"))I have searched Google, but I can't find anything about "dca:ReportShowTimeSpanAction". What do I need to do, to get the calendar button to work.Regards,Marco

Thanks for your sharing, however, the dataset in the rdl refer to the stored procedures which can't be found in SQL 2008(R2). Kindly ask if you could share the latest version. Your help would be appreciated.

For anyone having problems: run this script http://txtup.co/mKoSJ It is from QueryHashStatistics and it creates the required tables.

Does anyone happen to know where to download the QueryHashStatistics collection set? The project was retired on MSDN.

Is there any updated version for SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2014 ? This version asks for core.snapshots table and this table doesn't exists in SQL Server 2012 MDW.Thank you!
