I've used the stsadm command to export my MOSS site collection which was SPS#0 and now trying to import into 2010 site collection created using the Blank Site as the template (STS#1).  The process continues to fail.  Please help.

@Gina You need to use the same template. Are you reading the error that it spits out? You should also use powershell, rather than stsadm as it has been superseeded.

Alisha, In order for you to find the"Template Name(Code)" fora Custom Template, follow the instructions given at the bottom of thearticle "https://www.nothingbutsharepoint.com/sites/devwiki/SP2010Dev/Pages/Site%20Templates%20in%20SharePoint%202010.aspx" What you would do is upload your custom solution, next Activate it, next go to the "Create a Site Collection" and then follow the instructions as given at the bottom of the article to get the name and code. Hope this helps. Mark

Mark, I found a much easier way. Simply open the main SP site, right-click, and View Source. Search "var g_wsaSiteTemplateID". Done.
