Welcome!
Welcome to the Applied Sciences Group Blog!
The Applied Sciences Group (ASG) is an applied research and development team dedicated to creating the next generation of computer interaction technologies. We focus on the synergy between optics, electronics and software to create novel human computer interfaces. ASG is part of the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft Corp. and mainly supports projects for Microsoft Hardware, Xbox, and Microsoft Surface. We also work closely with Microsoft Research.
Some of the better known projects we have worked on include the tilt scroll wheel, Microsoft Surface, Mouse 2.0, Pressure Sensitive Keybopard, and Xbox Natal.
In this blog, we will share an insiders view of some of the cool projects we are working on, share our thoughts on technology trends, and generally muse about the state of computer interfaces.
Enjoy!

Do you have projects on going for voice recognition and voice commands also since it should be quite obvious that voice commands are a much easier way of giving commands to your gadgets than gestures in thin air, which require more musle power than speech?
