Using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate to Improve Your Application Development - Software Development has come a long way.  It is not enough to just be good at coding; you need to be great at managing how the development is done.  Join this interactive session to see why getting good at the ‘how’ will help you take control of your daily routine.  Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and Team Foundation Server provide the environment to bring it all together for you. Upcoming Session 9/23/2010  Sign Up

Using Visual Studio 2010 Load Testing Agents to Improve Quality - Performance testing is no longer a “nice to have” testing process in a world where end users are more sophisticated and expect a lot more from the performance of applications on and off the web. Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate provides the ability to create and customize load testing to test the performance of applications.
In this session, requirements for installation and configuration of test agent will be discussed and demonstrated. We will also create web performance and load tests using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. Upcoming Session 9/22/2010   Sign Up

Using Visual Studio 2010 Lab Management - Management of the configuration of development, test and production environments can often make or break a deployment. With the new features of Lab Management organizations can more efficiently manage and test against multiple configurations. With tight integration into Visual Studio, Lab Management provides more fluid collaboration between testers and developers.
In this session, the value of Lab Manager, requirements for installation and configuration of Hyper-V, Service Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) and Lab Manager will be discussed and demonstrated. Upcoming Session 9/29/2010  Sign Up

Upgrading to Team Foundation Server 2010: Why and How - Team Foundation Server 2005 and 2008 brought a whole new perspective on collaborative development to the application lifecycle process for many organizations. Although the tool has made a tremendous impact for source control management, automated builds and automated testing, the adoption of TFS as a repository for managing requirements and test plans has been slower to take off. Project Managers and Quality Managers will be excited to get a look at TFS 2010 and learn more about the new features such as test case management, hierarchical work items, improved integration with MS Project, improved TFS administrative tools and improved reports and dashboards.
Upgrade considerations and tasks will be discussed and demonstrated in this training session to prepare your team for a smooth implementation.  Upcoming Sessions - 9/20/2010   Sign Up, 9/27/2010  Sign Up

Migrating from Visual SourceSafe to Team Foundation Server 2010: Why and Pre-migrating Planning - Development teams are increasingly finding themselves needing to do more with less. Project managers, quality assurance and upper management are expecting more planning, collaboration and communication from the development team. TFS provides an integrated application lifecycle management tool that allows developers to interact with all roles in the application lifecycle without the need to switch from one tool to another. With TFS developers can understand requirements, version control source code, and automate builds and deployments. Distributed and cross-functional teams make it even more important to have a solid version control tool that provides remote access for global teams. Visual SourceSafe users are finding themselves in need of a more robust repository to support their development efforts.
Pre-migration considerations and tasks for VSS teams will be discussed and demonstrated in this training session to prepare your team for a smooth migration.  Upcoming Session 9/21/2010 Sign Up

How to use Team Foundation Server to Manage the SharePoint Life Cycle - SharePoint has made tremendous impact in the enterprise for several reasons - affordability, ease of implementation and rapid application deployment opportunities. For these same reasons SharePoint has introduced risk in the organization because effective development practices are not viewed as necessary or useful for SharePoint deployments. SharePoint is a powerful platform for Rapid Application Development (RAD) and often has an even shorter lifecycle than traditional RAD projects.
In this session we will discuss and demonstrate the role that TFS plays in the effective management of SharePoint implementations and custom development. Requirements, testing, version control and deployment of custom features for SharePoint will be demonstrated using TFS and VS 2010.  Upcoming Sessions 9/30/2010 Sign Up
