Does this require that the list exists on an enterprise ediition farm? Whlie we have some EE capacity, most of our sites (and therefore most of the lists we would want to connect with) are on standard edition farms. Is adding ADO.NET on the standard edition farm sufficient to connect to these as an Atom feed? - Anonymous

Installing the ADO.NET runtime, will render the lists on your SharePoint farm irrespective of your farm type. PowerPivot works only on the Enterprise Edition, and so you will not be able to see the 'Export as DataFeed' button on your gallery/lists. But you should be able to access the data via the URL.Hope that helps!
