  I hate snails.  And slugs.  And earthworms.
  
  It sometimes makes me wonder why I loved living in Kirkland so much.
  
  But it may explain why I now enjoy living in the concrete jungle of Tokyo.
  
  When I lived on Guam, we wrapped flame trees with duct tape and applied gasoline to the tape.  It kept the worms out of the trees, for the most part.  I wonder if there's something similar that could be done in this case.

  Lauren, i've done the opposite - traded in the inner city of London for the leafy surrounds of Redmond....

  I'm always looking for a way back to the NW.  It must be the siren's song of the banana slug or something.  For the time being, I'm biding my time here and enjoying not being surrounded by creepy crawly things.  Well, crawly, at least.
