TechEd Brazil 2011 - Quick Session: Microsoft Free Tools to help in diagnostics and troubleshooting (Part 2) ADTD ADMAP
(Active Directory Topology Diagrammer - ADTD)
Hello,
At my quick session delivered at TechEd Brazil 2011 on last September I demonstrated how to use the Active Directory Topology Diagrammer (ADTD) tool aka ADMap.
The Microsoft Active Directory Topology Diagrammer reads an Active Directory configuration using LDAP, and then automatically generates a Visio diagram of your Active Directory and /or your Exchange Server topology. The diagrams may include domains, sites, servers, organizational units, DFS-R, administrative groups, routing groups and connectors and can be changed manually in Visio if needed.
Do you have a business' need to document your Active Directory's OU topology? Or the sub-nets? DFS-R? Domains?
Does your messaging's system based on Exchange Server became so complex in terms of routing? SMTP connectors? Remote AD sites with Exchange servers? So you need make some changes but it would be better take a 'photo' before? Thus a Visio's diagram automatically produced by ADTD will help a lot.
