The Risk assessment feature empowers project managers to evaluate potential risks, obtain suggested mitigation strategies, and monitor ongoing project issues. The feature uses a project's metadata, including scope, schedule, and budget. It analyzes risks and notifies stakeholders of factors that could impede progress. The mitigation plan offers a series of recommended actions so that project managers can deal with and reduce identified risks. By taking a proactive stance, project managers gain the tools to efficiently handle and mitigate potential challenges, ensuring project continuity and minimizing negative repercussions.

After you select the project that your organization wants to use AI to automatically generate risks and mitigations for, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Risks tab on the command bar, as shown in the following screenshot.

  2. Select Copilot suggestions > Risks and mitigations.

    Note

    A message above the command bar notifies you that risks and mitigation were successfully created by using AI.

  3. To manually add a new risk, select New Risk, as shown in the following screenshot.

  4. To manually add an existing risk, select Add existing risk.

  5. Select the risk in the grid to edit, activate, delete, or assign risks.
