Gets the name of the current database or the database to be used when a connection is open.

Property Value

The name of the current database or the name of the database to be used when a connection is open. The default value is an empty string. For SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1, the value for this property should be the full path of the database file; for example, "\myApp\myDB.sdf".

Remarks

The Database property updates dynamically. If you change the current database using the ChangeDatabase method, an informational message is sent and the property is updated automatically.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
