Specifying the Compliance Repository

The Compliance Repository is a folder where a copy of any file uploaded to the file repository is stored as part of the compliance system. This folder contains the same files as the file repository folder, although not in the same subfolder structure.

The following criteria must be met when you identify this folder:

• All File Repository Group Chat Web service instances must run under credentials that can write to this folder.
• The Compliance service must run under credentials that can read from this folder.

To change the compliance repository, use the Compliance tab on the System Wide view. Under Compliance Repository Settings, type the path to the folder you want to use for the Compliance Repository. Because this folder will be accessed by multiple services from different hosts, you should specify a shared network folder by using a UNC path.

Note

If you make any changes to the Compliance Server, all services in a Group Chat Server pool must be restarted, including the Web service.
