ExchUCutil.ps1
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
The ExchUCUtil tool (ExchUCUtil.ps1) is a script that has two functions:
Grants Office Communications Server permission to read Exchange Unified Messaging Active Directory objects, specifically Exchange Unified Messaging attributes, so that it can create contact objects for each auto-attendant and subscriber access.
Creates a Unified Messaging IP gateway object for each Office Communications Server pool and associates the gateways to the Unified Messaging SIP dial plans that are defined for Office Communications Server.
You can run the tool when you initially configure Exchange Unified Messaging for use with Office Communications Server, and again after the Exchange Unified Messaging SIP dial plans are created for Office Communications Server.
You must run the tool again in the following situations:
When a new Unified Messaging SIP dial plan is created for Office Communications Server.
When a new Office Communications Server is deployed.
ExchUCUtil.ps1 is installed with the Exchange Server 2007 with Service Pack 1 (SP1). It is located in the %ExchangeInstallDir%\Scripts\ folder.
