profiles Element for healthMonitoring (ASP.NET Settings Schema) 

Defines a collection of parameter sets to use when configuring events.

This element is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Child Elements

Element Description

add

Optional element.

Adds a profile to the profile collection.

clear

Optional element.

Removes all profiles from the profile collection.

remove

Optional element.

Removes the specified profile from the profile collection.

Parent Elements

Element Description

configuration

Specifies the required root element in every configuration file that is used by the common language runtime and the .NET Framework applications.

system.web

Specifies the root element for the ASP.NET configuration section.

healthMonitoring

Configures an application for health monitoring.

Remarks

The profiles element lets you collect sets of parameters for configuring events. Each set defines a profile.

Default Configuration

The following default profiles element is configured in the root Web.config file in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

    <add name="Default" minInstances="1" maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:01:00" custom="" />
    <add name="Critical" minInstances="1" maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:00:00" custom="" />
</profiles>
