Postupy: Ověření a sloučení printticketů

Typická posloupnost úloh pro aplikaci, která podporuje tisk, by byla následující.
Určete možnosti tiskárny.
Nakonfigurujte PrintTicket, aby tyto schopnosti používal.
Ověřte PrintTicket.

Příklad
V následujícím jednoduchém příkladu nás zajímá jenom to, jestli tiskárna podporuje oboustranný tisk. Hlavní kroky jsou následující.
Získejte objekt PrintCapabilities metodou GetPrintCapabilities.
Otestujte přítomnost požadované schopnosti. V následujícím příkladu otestujeme vlastnost DuplexingCapability objektu PrintCapabilities pro přítomnost možnosti tisku na obou stranách listu papíru s "otáčením stránky" podél dlouhé strany listu. Jelikož DuplexingCapability je kolekce, používáme metodu

Tento krok není nezbytně nutný. Metoda MergeAndValidatePrintTicket použitá níže zkontroluje jednotlivé požadavky v PrintTicket s možnostmi tiskárny. Pokud požadovaná funkce není tiskárnou podporovaná, ovladač tiskárny nahradí alternativní požadavek v PrintTicket vrácenou metodou.
Pokud tiskárna podporuje duplexní tisk, vzorový kód vytvoří PrintTicket, který požádá o oboustranný tisk. Aplikace však neurčovala všechna možná nastavení tiskárny, která je k dispozici v PrintTicket prvku. To by bylo plýtvání programátorem i programovým časem. Místo toho kód nastaví pouze duplexní požadavek a pak tento PrintTicket sloučí s existující, plně nakonfigurovanou a ověřenou, PrintTicket, v tomto případě výchozí PrintTicketuživatele .
Proto ukázka volá metodu MergeAndValidatePrintTicket pro sloučení nového, minimálního PrintTicket s výchozími PrintTicketuživatele . Vrátí ValidationResult, který obsahuje nový PrintTicket jako jednu ze svých vlastností.
Ukázka pak testuje, zda nové požadavky PrintTicket vyžadují duplexní provoz. Pokud ano, vzor se stane novým výchozím tiskovým tiketem pro uživatele. Pokud by byl výše uvedený krok 2 vynechán a tiskárna nepodporovala duplexní tisk podél dlouhé strany, byl by výsledkem testu
