Get Started with VS LightSwitch Beta 2 with New Developer Training Kit
Along with the general availability of Visual Studio LightSwitch Beta 2, you can now learn how to get started with the LightSwitch Beta 2 Training Kit. The Training Kit contains demos and labs to help you learn to use and extend LightSwitch. The introductory materials walk you through the Visual Studio LightSwitch product and shows you how to rapidly build advanced applications.
By following the hands-on labs, you'll build an application to inventory a library of books. The more advanced materials will show you how developers can extend LightSwitch to make components available to the LightSwitch developer. In the advanced demo, you will build a LightSwitch application and then extend it using a custom control in order to sell items through eBay. In the advanced hands-on labs, you will build and package an extension that can be reused by the Visual Studio LightSwitch end user.

Training Kit Content
All content has been tested to work with Visual Studio 2010 SP1. The setup scripts for all hands-on labs and demo scripts have also been updated so that the content can easily be used on a machine running Windows 7 SP1.
