How to change the 5MB attachment limitation
I have gotten a lot of questions about the 5 MB attachment limitation within Microsoft CRM. Yes this is possible to change.
You can increase this default by modifying the registry key maxuploadfilesize located in the registry by navigating to HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM on the server and on the client in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient.
Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft nor I cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

You might want to add that if you are using the laptop (offline) client you will also need to edit the reg of the local system, not just the server side..
HKEY_CURRENT_USER | SOFTWARE | MICROSOFT | MSCRMClient
Same key as the server side, "maxuploadfilesize"
Otherwise the client will toss up and error about the file size..Anonymous
