"Today, one of the most powerful religions in the Western World is environmentalism. Environmentalism seems to be the religion of choice for urban atheists."

Read Michael Crichton's "Remarks to the Commonwealth Club", get the facts and judge for yourself. I think Crichton has an excellent point here, Julian Simon would have agreed wholeheartedly (read his "Ultimate Resource 2" if you need more facts about resources & the environment).
